St Mary’s Ladies’ Fellowship
The ladies’ fellowship meets on Tuesday afternoons during term time at 2.30 p.m. in the St Mary’s Centre, Mountsorrel Lane, Sileby. Ladies of any faith and those not committed to a faith are all welcome. From time to time, there are also open meetings to which gentlemen are invited. The afternoon starts with a few notices, a hymn and prayer for 10 to 15 minutes. There is then a talk lasting for 25 to 30 minutes and the meeting finishes with a cup of tea and biscuits (or cake on special occasions) at around 3.30 p.m. so that people can be away by 4.00 p.m.
In addition to the regular meetings there are occasional outings to places of interest and teas to celebrate various events such as the Royal Wedding.
For more details please contact Joan Gamble on 01509 813119, she comments: “When invited, one lady said that she would give it a whirl, she is still whirling with us!”
