Visit by Abaana New Life Choir
We are delighted to share with you that the Abaana New Life Choir will be visiting again in May of this year. The choir will be performing in Church on Sunday 19th May at 5.00pm. As before, there is no entry fee but a collection will be taken after the concert to support the work of Abaana and there will again be an opportunity to purchase goods. For safety reasons numbers will be limited so you will need a ticket to get in which are available from Beverly Burton.
Please be aware that after the service on that Sunday, the Abaana team will begin to set up in church in readiness for the concert that evening. If you are able to help carry equipment or set up the stage that would be tremendous.
As last time we require host families to care for one chaperone and two children (of the same gender). We still need four families to host for us. This will entail providing a meal, bath and bed on Sunday 19th after the concert. Breakfast and a packed lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, a hot evening meal, bath and bed on Monday and Tuesday. You will need to collect and drop them at St. Mary’s Centre when required and help out by washing clothes if necessary.
It would be ideal if you had two spare bedrooms, one for the chaperone and one for the children. However, just one large room so that all three could sleep together (the chaperones are happy on an airbed) would also work.
