Volunteers needed
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
We sometimes take for granted the work people do to ensure the smooth running of our services and the church in general. However, I would like to encourage you to think about how you can serve God by:
- Crèche, Leading Prayers, Working with young people
- Playing in the music group, Being part of the welcoming team
- Bible Reading, Operating the Video Projector
- Pushing wheelchairs for Leonard Cheshire
Please remember we all have gifts and we can use them to bless the church family. We are particularly short of volunteers in Sileby as number of people have had to stand down due to personal circumstances. If you feel able to serve in any of these ways please talk to Duncan, Joy, Leonie, Heather Powley (Sileby only) or your church wardens. Extra help is always welcome at each of the churches.
We could also do with some more volunteers on the benefice pastoral teams which include:
- Cooking meals
- Transport
- Visiting
- Practical help (gardening, shopping, ironing, cleaning etc)
If you would like to help in any of these roles please have a word with either Duncan or Joy.
