The Christingle itself is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the &#8220;Light of the World&#8221;. The Christingle usually consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An orange, represents the world<\/li>\n<li>A lit candle pushed into the centre of the orange, represents Jesus Christ as Light of the World<\/li>\n<li>A red ribbon wrapped around the orange, represents the blood of Christ<\/li>\n<li>Dried fruits and\/or sweets skewered on cocktail sticks pushed into the orange, represents the fruits of the earth and the four seasons. Cloves can be added as well<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This a child friendly service pointing the way to the joy of Jesus&#8217; birth on Christmas Day.
